An hour away from Beirut International Airport, and 45 minutes away from the capital, Faqra is the all mighty queen of the Mount Lebanon governorate. Famous for its recreational activities in the summer and winter seasons, Faqra is also unique for its remarkable historic monuments which include temples, columns, altars and rock cut tombs.

Its uncommon private setting and abundance in pure water sources encouraged earlier civilizations to build their temples and altars in the region for the purpose of worshiping their Gods. From the later years, Faqra withholds another historical treasure and one of nature's most spectacular wonders, a bridge by the name of "Stone Bridge" with a thirty eight meter long arch.

Faqra is also known for its proximity to the ski slops in Faraya and Faqra and for its off road, hiking and camping activities.
